How this started
A planner bought in October that began in January, for a business whose year runs from April. Three months of it were dead paper before it was opened and there was nothing on the listing to warn about it — just a photograph of a nice cover.
Start month, end month and whether the dating is financial year or calendar year appear on every listing here. It is the single most useful thing a page can tell you and almost nobody prints it.
The most important thing about a dated product is the date it starts, and it is usually the one thing left off the page.

We write on a sheet from each batch with a gel pen and a fineliner and say what happens. A calendar that ghosts through is worth knowing about before you buy.
Footprint measured
Width and depth of the standing base in centimetres, because the useful question about a desk calendar is whether it fits beside a monitor.
How the range is chosen
Every design is printed as a sample and stood on a desk here for a fortnight before it is listed. Stands that folded under a ceiling fan, covers that curled in Jaipur summer and month grids with too little space to write in are the reason the range is as small as it is.
We publish under our own name and do not stock other companies’ branded stationery ranges or licensed artwork. Nothing here is described as an official version of anything, and nothing carries a guarantee beyond your statutory rights.
Online only
There is no showroom and no walk-in counter. Mavora Library trades entirely online and ships across India from Jaipur, Rajasthan, which keeps overheads off the price of the goods.
